To support the institution and its stakeholders by providing seamless access to the widest possible spectrum of information resources such as digital, online databases, print and non-print materials relevant to the curricular, informational, and innovative research needs of the academic community.
Mission:
To provide the information which leads to achieve highest academic potential and acquire research skills necessary for lifelong learning. To support teaching faculty and administrative staff and to participate in interactive information exchange within the wider library/educational sector.
OPAC (Online Services): An online catalog facility is available to users through the internet. The link for accessing our OPAC is (link: http://103.147.112.74:80) Every individual patron has the OPAC account credentials to access their account. The main features of the OPAC are to check the availability of books, self-renewal of borrowed books, online reservations, and online purchase suggestions.
Digital Library Services: Online access to the e-resource portals of Springer, Knimbus, ProQuest, Sententia, Taylor & Francis, NPTEL, and National Digital Library of India. These services are IP enabled and can be accessed anywhere on the campus.
Reference Services: The Library maintains a separate reference collection consisting of encyclopedias, dictionaries, directories, etc. Reference books are marked "R" The Reference Section facility is extended to the students, staff, and faculty of the Institute from 8.00 a.m. to 6.00 p.m. on all working days. Readers may approach the Reference Desk for information or any assistance in the use of the Library Collections and services.
Periodical Services: A good number of journals and magazines, both technical and general in nature, are subscribed to library. The latest issues will be displayed as and when received.
Book Bank Services: Eligible students may apply to get an additional 5 books for the entire semester in the Book Bank Section.
Current Awareness Service: In order to keep library users informed about the latest additions, the following are displayed on a regular basis: Recent additions to Books, a list of journals received and displayed on plasma view, announcement of information on national and international conferences and conducting events from the library, etc.
User Awareness Program Services: The library takes an active part in the orientation programme organised by the institute for the benefit of new students at the beginning of the academic year. Any user desiring to know more about library resources and services or to learn how to use a particular resource like OPAC, e-journals, databases, etc. should contact in (Circulation Counter).
Photocopying Services: Today, reprography plays a very important role in the transmission of knowledge within library resources and services. The Reprography Service at the Library helps to preserve rare and special materials and collections from being stolen or mishandled and, therefore, maintains the availability of the resources.
News Paper Clipping: Scanned copies of News, AICTE News, COMEDK, and KEA News will be sent through email and also uploaded on the website.
Special Encouragement for Toppers' Services: Department-wise three students will get extra books for the entire semester to achieve better marks or scores.
